 dad's tex-mex hash

1 lb ground beef
3 medium onions, sliced
1 green pepper, chopped
1 qt whole tomatoes (including water)
1/2 cup uncooked rice
2 Tsp chili powder
2 Tsp salt
1 dash pepper

Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees. Pan fry the ground beef in a large skillet until light brown. Drain the fat.

Add onions and peppers and cook until the onion is tender. Stir in the rest of the ingredients and heat until warm.

Pour into a 9x13 casserole dish, cover with aluminum foil, and bake for 1 hour.

Serves 6.
