 bul go gi (Korean beef)

1 kg Roast with a good marbling of fat throughout
1 Onion
4 cloves garlic
sugar
black pepper
2 T soy sauce - Korean or Japanese not dark.
2 T Sesame Oil

Slice meat -- across the grain and wafer thin (1-2 mm thick). Get your butcher to do this. It is important that it is as thin as possible.

Slice onion, crush garlic. Put meat in bowl, add soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic and onion. Add black pepper and sugar to taste.

Let marinade for up to 24 hours (the longer the better!)

Heat an electric skillet and fry meat on a low setting. If you desire to, you made fry up sliced mushrooms as well.

Serve with Sticky Rice and Jeon.
